[Online Education : Research Paper Topic]
So, in my communications class, we are to write a research paper, and my topic is Online Education.
Ever since the internet became so widespread, everything followed. Games, sports, information, newspapers, etc all followed.
Another one that followed was education. Aside from regular face-to-face instruction we all are so used to; online learning has been steadily growing. More and more online classes and even colleges are sprouting across the globe.
I personally like the idea of online classes because of our hectic lives nowadays. We have so much stuff on our plate that just going to school overwhelms that plate. From what I know, personally, some online colleges offer classes that you can take based on your own schedule – allowing for maximum flexibility. (I don’t know the credibility of said colleges, but I must say the idea is really nice, especially, if for example, you are a working mother with two children or something.)
Because of the immense growth of online communications, online classes are much easier to deal with. Most of them require you to sign in to a certain website, blog or write, or even post certain things. (With all of those, basic computer/browser knowledge is required. For example: knowing how to upload or download something, or how to extract .rar/.zip files, or even compress files to zipped folders. Other things include the understanding of the basics of online netiquette.)
Once all of those have been mastered, more or less, online classes should be a cinch.
They will help people keep their education at their own pace. Because, after high school, unless you truly plan on being a student, who really has time to spend 8hours at a college?
So with all of those, I plan to write about the pros and cons of online education, while comparing and contrasting separate views. I am not sure what my conclusion will be – I will find out after all of my research is complete. (As of right now, it seems my ground is on the positive side.)
Well, that’s all for this post,
Thanks for reading!
